Next, you want to go to i Tunes and turn off Home Sharing. You can do this by going to Advanced and then clicking on Turn Off Home Sharing. Now go to your i Pad and go to the Settings page for Music and Video and type in the correct password for Home Sharing. This has the advantage of allowing you to quickly locate and browse through your media content in a number of different ways, rather than being limited to the relatively rigid hierarchy of a file and folder structure. This also applies to how your music and other content is organized on Apple’s media devices: the i Pod, i Phone, i Pad and the Apple TV.Note that if you have a shared library, you might be seeing the wrong artwork on your i Pod Touch or i Phone also. After trying a bunch of stuff, I finally figured out how to fix the problem. So here’s an annoying problem I was having recently: I enabled home sharing in i Tunes on my Mac Book Pro and I connected like normal from my i Pad 2 to my shared video library.I was browsing my TV Shows and Movies when I noticed something strange. When I tapped on one of the duplicates, it would bring up the details for the movie or show and then would show the correct artwork for the movie or show.
There is a lot more power under the hood in i Tunes than many people realize.
Users concerned about retaining tags in lossless files are probably better to consider the AIFF or Apple Lossless formats.
You can modify the tags for any individual track simply by selecting the track in your i Tunes library and choosing Get Info from the i Tunes File menu.
I believe this solution will work for any device connecting to a shared library that has wrong artwork showing up like an i Phone or Apple TV, but can’t be certain since I only had the problem on my i Pad 2.
Also, note that if you have wrong artwork for music when connecting to a shared library, you can also fix it with the solution below.
